I am a wild traveler and a lover of different cultures. I’ve been traveling by myself across all five continents holding the camera in my hands, touching with my soul many different cultures and traditions. I love to use photography to catch moments of real life and to describe with photostories how different and amazing the World where we are living is.

a little bit more about me…
I graduated in information technology at the university of trento in year 2001. I’ve been working for 6 years as software engineer and project manager always in the IT area. during year 2004 I’ve been traveling for 4 months with my backpack across australia and new zealand. in 2006 I began to upload and sell images with iStock, after 3 years I sold more the 45,000 images. everywhere in the world.
laureato presso l’università degli studi di trento nel 2001 in ingegneria dell’informazione e organizzazione. ho lavorato per 6 anni come software engineer e project manager in ambito informatico. la voglia di vedere il mondo e di viaggiare sono emerse quando tra il 2004 e il 2005 ho deciso di viaggiare per quattro mesi tra australia e nuova zelanda da solo con lo zaino sulle spalle. nel 2006 la passione verso la fotografia si è trasformata in attività lavorativa ed è diventata il mezzo principale per viaggiare. nei primi tre anni di attività ho venduto oltre 45.000 fotografie in tutto il mondo.
during year 2007 I spent 1 month in Tibet (thanks to Himalayan Seeds Onlus) where I did a photography project living in a primary school at 4,000 mt. above the sea level. a video reportage of that experience has been broadcasted by National Geographic Adventure TV in italy.
nel 2007 ho realizzato un reportage fotografico in Tibet di un mese per l’associazione Himalayan Seeds Onlus occupandomi di documentare la vita all’interno di una scuola elementare tibetana situata a 4000 metri di altitudine nella provincia cinese del Qinghai. A novembre 2007 un reportage video del viaggio in Tibet è stato trasmesso più volte dal canale satellitare National Geographic Adventure su Sky TV.
in september 2008 I had the honour to be nominated “photographer of the week” on iStock, in november I started to work even for Getty Images. in january 2009 during the event Uberlypse berlin I had the honour to win the award for the “best uberwide angle point of view“. in november 2009 I have been invited in istanbul, by Getty Images to take part of the first editorial lypse in the story of iStock. during autumn 2009 iStock choose 2 images from my portfolio to create its ads for magazines in USA e UK (image 1, image 2).
a settembre 2008 sono stato nominato “Fotografo della settimana” da iStockphoto, riconoscimento che ottengono ogni anno solo 52 fotografi su oltre 55mila candidati. a novembre 2008 sono entrato nel team di fotografi di Getty Images, la più grande agenzia mondiale di fotografia. a gennaio 2009 in occasione dell’evento internazionale “Uberlypse 2009″ di Berlino ho ottenuto il premio per il “Miglior Punto di vista” con la foto intitolata: “Dead man’s point of view“. a novembre 2009 sono stato invitato da Getty Images a partecipare al primo evento editoriale della storia di iStockphoto ad istanbul, in turchia.
nell’autunno 2009 iStock ha scelto due delle mie immagini (Deserto del Sahara, San Francisco Cityscape) per realizzare la pubblicitá su riviste e magazine di design negli Stati Uniti e in UK
ad ottobre 2009 ho fondato il blog “un italiano su iStock” dedicato a tutti i fotografi italiani che hanno intenzione di cimentarsi seriamente col microstock, dove fornisco consigli e indicazioni (in italiano) su tutto ció che riguarda il mondo di iStock.
During the Sony World Photography Awards 2010 my work has been selected for commendation. Only 40 images in each categories have been selected for this special commendation, thus this is a tremendous achievement. The commended images are featured in the official 2010 Sony World Photography Awards Winner’s Book.
Nel corso del Sony World Photography Awards 2010 ho ottenuto l’encomio per il progetto che ho proposto. Il progetto é stato inserito nella top 40 (su oltre 43.000 candidature) e pubblicato ufficialmente nel 2010 Sony World Photography Awards Winner’s Book.
